Sparkle like Champagne - that would have been the motto of another legendary New Year's Eve party with us at the AURORA.
But as we all know, the year 2020 is a different one....
One year ago today, Corona was just a Mexican beer brand to all of us. Corks popping and full of anticipation, we rang in the new year with the finest champagne from the houses of Krug, Laurent-Perrier and Louis Roederer.
In March the time had come, the world stood still. In the truest sense of the word. The AURORA had to close its doors for two months for the first time since its opening. But when the lockdown was lifted in May, we started the summer full of energy. Who doesn't love it - our cosy terrace on Zurich's promenade. Whether for a business lunch, an aperitif or dinner followed by the best music from the bar - we will never forget this summer!
So, what now?
Shortly before the end of the year, our plans vanish into thin air. Due to the decision of the Federal Council we have to close our doors again.
But the AURORA team would not like to miss to say THANK YOU. It was a turbulent but nevertheless wonderful year with great memories. Actually a year to forget, but not for us - thanks to you!
